悔い改めをする事で無意識だった欠点があぶり出され、自分自身を修正出来る(Repentance reveals unconscious flaws and allows us to correct ourselves.)

今朝方のお祈りの時、
悔い改めを一生懸命にやっていました。
一つ悔い改めたら、
他の悔い改めるべき点はないか考えて、
思いつくままにお祈りしていたら、
ふと、自分の欠点と思われる点が頭に浮かびました。
それは今まで自分では意識出来ていなかったことで、
でも確かに欠点というか、
私にとって取り去るべき点だと思える事で、
ふいに胸を突かれるような思いがしました。
ですがお祈り中だったためか、
瞬時に受け入れ、
その後サッと悔い改めることが出来た点は、とても良かったと思います。
その欠点は、自分の中の傲慢とも呼べる部分だったのですが、
明日もあさってもしばらく、
つっかえのようなものが無くなるまで、悔い改めていこうと思います。
神様、気づかせて下さったことに感謝致します。
ありがとうございました。
こうして、色々なことを悔い改めている時に、
これまで気づけていなかった他の欠点も浮かび上がって来ることは、
以前もあったような気がします。
その時も確か、それを素直に認めて、
即座に悔い改めることが出来たのです。
お祈りすることで、
自分が正しい状態に導かれていくとは、
本当に素晴らしい効果だと思いました。
そう言えばどこかで、
「お祈りしていると、性格が良くなってくる」と、
聞いたことがあるような気がします。
自分の欠点が次々と改善されていったなら、
なるほど、
そうかもしれない…と、思いました🤗

I was doing repentance very hard
when I prayed this morning .
If I repent of one thing,
I was praying as I thought of something else to repent of.
And suddenly a point that seemed to be
my shortcoming came to mind.
It was something I had not been aware of,
but it was certainly a flaw,
or something I needed to get rid of,
so I suddenly felt a poke in the chest.
However, perhaps because I was praying,
I was able to accept it almost instantly
and repent quickly afterward, which was very good.
That flaw was what you might call arrogance on my part.
. I will repent until there is no more such thing as a stumbling block
tomorrow and the next day, and for a while after that.
Thank you, God, for making me aware of this.
I think it has happened before that
when we repent of various things,
other shortcomings that I had not noticed before come to light.
Even then, as I recall,
I was able to honestly admit it
and repented instantly.
I thought
it was a really wonderful effect that by praying,
I was led to the right state of mind.
Come to think of it, somewhere along the line,
I think I've heard somewhere that
"praying improves your character."
If our shortcomings were improved one by one,
I see…
